Rector of Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah), Prof. Dr. Ir. Samsul Rizal, M. Eng invites the Unsyiah’s academic community to explore and rewrite the glory of the Aceh Kingdom. Because according to him the literacy and track record of the Aceh Kingdom is very little written and so difficult for the younger generation to find out. This is different when compared with European countries which until now can still see and read evidence of civilization.
This statement was conveyed by the Rector when opening the Art Exhibition "Learning from the Past" held at AAC Dayan Dawood Building, Darussalam, Banda Aceh (11/26). The exhibition of paintings featuring Ismawan's work is one of the top sequences of the 56th anniversary of Unsyiah which was held in the evening.
Rector also added that if a nation has a high civilization, then the technology will also grow. For that, he hopes that all academic community of Unsyiah can work maximally in the effort to encourage and change human civilization, especially for educator at Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP). Because according to him FKIP is a faculty that has a big role in educating prospective teachers so that it can change people's habits. To that end, the Rector advised that students be guided in channeling their creativity and expertise.
"Currently, FKIP's task is harder not only to educate, but also to explore the students so that the expertise that God gives can emerge."
This activity was also enlivened by artistic expression collaboration featuring Rector painting with a single dance from Dra. Tri Supatmi and music from Dr. Ari Palawi.
