300 Academics and Researchers Attend The 7th AIC Unsyiah

Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah) held The 7th Annual International Conference of Syiah Kuala University/AIC Unsyiah on October 18-20 2017 at AAC Dayan Dawood Building. The Conference that themed Promoting Knowledge, Research, and Technology for Humanity was conducted in enlivening the 56th anniversary of Unsyiah.

Rector of Unsyiah, Prof. Dr. Ir. Samsul Rizal, M. Eng, mentions there are 300 academics, researchers, and practitioners from various science and country that attended this conference. They are from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, China, United States, Japan, Australia, Vietnam, Cyprus, Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Iran, Jordan, and Taiwan.

"This conference is to present an effective forum for academics, researchers, and practitioners to advance knowledge, research, and technology for humanity," Prof. said. Samsul in his speech on the AIC first day, Wednesday (10/18).

He hopes the parties involved in this conference can bring benefits and apply them in their respective areas. Moreover, this conference offers a variety of interesting topics related to theoretical and practical aspects.

In the meantime, Dr. Ramzi Adriman, Chair of the Organizing Committee, said that AIC Unsyiah is an international conference held regularly by Unsyiah since 2011. For this year, AIC Unsyiah was held in conjunction with The 6th International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research (ICMR) and The International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICELTICs).

Ramzi added that the conference offers a special opportunity to bring together professors, researchers and scientists from around the world. Noted there are 350 papers received in this conference. The paper was comprised of diverse fields of study featuring the latest innovations and scientific developments. Selected papers in this conference have the opportunity to be published in Scopus and Thomson Reuter journals.

Present as keynote speaker Prof. Musa Ahmad from Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, Prof. Hitoshi Kiya from University of Tokyo Metropolitan, Dr. Yanuar Nugroho from the University of Manchester UK, Prof. Mohd Rizal Bin Arshad Dean from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Prof. Stefanie Shamilla Pillai from Malaya University Malaysia, Prof. Wolfgang Nellen from Germany, Prof. Antonius Suwanto from Institut Pertanian Bogor, Prof. Azma Putra from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) Malaysia, Prof. Zuraini Zakaria and Prof. Fatan Hamamah Yahaya representative of ICMR Universiti Sains Malaysia.

This activity was also enlivened with an expo that presents various innovations from Syiah Kuala University.
