Deputy of BPJS Give Public Lecture in Unsyiah

Regional Deputy Director of BPJS of Employment Sumbagut, Umardin Lubis, gave a public lecture about the benefits of BPJS employment program for students of Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah) which took place in the flamboyant room of AAC Dayan Dawood on Thursday (11/30) followed by hundreds of participants.

In his presentation, Umarudin convey if the state provides protection and social security for citizens in order to bring prosperity to life. This social security has been regulated in the Constitution covering health insurance, occupational accidents, pensions, old age, and death guarantees.

"This social security plays a role to overcome and protect from risks, such as accidents, death, and poverty," he said.

Umarudin added that currently the number of workforce is increasing and the most are in Java Island. It is estimated that 81-86 million workforce is the target market for BPJS Employment. He also asserted that BPJS Employment is not only cover up the formal workers, but also non-formal.

Meanwhile, Head of Student and Alumni Unsyiah Bureau, Nasir Ibrahim, hopes this public lecture can provide a new understanding for students. So that the students can convey and spread the benefits of BPJS Employment to parents and closest relatives.

This activity was attended by Budi Pramono, Assistant Deputy of Marketing Division of BPJS of Manpower of Sumbagut, and Efa Zuryadi, Head of Branch of BPJS Employment Banda Aceh.
