Nurul Ikhlas Modern Islamic Boarding School Visit Unsyiah

About 17 students were accompanied by three teachers of Nurul Ikhlas Modern Islamic Boarding School, Padang Panjang, visited Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah). This visit was received directly by the Head of Academic Bureau, Ir. Uzair, M.P. Unsyiah and Head of Public Relations Unsyiah. The visiting event took place on the 3rd floor of Unsyiah Bureau Building, Darussalam, Banda Aceh, on Tuesday afternoon (10/17).

Ahmad Luthfi, M.Pd, who represents the headmaster of Nurul Ikhlas said that the visit aims to increase the interest and motivation of students to be better in learning so that they can face the national exam and college entrance examination.

Luthfi also said that there are several universities in Indonesia that they want to visit, one of them is Unsyiah. Because Unsyiah became one of the goals of the students to continue their studies.

Head of Academic Bureau of Unsyiah, Ir. Uzair welcomes that visiting. Uzair also hopes that the Nurul Ikhlas students can go to their favourite campus.

Uzair explained that Unsyiah will accept new students through three lines, namely National Selection of State University Entrance (SNMPTN), Selection of Joint Entrance Education (MBSPTN), and Independent Selection of State University (UMMPTN). Each of these lines has its own percentage in the admission of new students.

"Meanwhile, the three most favorite programs in Unsyiah are majoring in medicine, pharmacy, and informatics," he said.

The visit was also attended by Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Faculty of Medicine Unsyiah, dr. Maryatun, M.Kes., Sp.PD. On the same occasion, Maryatun also helps encourage students to continue to try and pray if they want to get into their favorite campus.

During the visit, UPT TIK (Information and Communication Technology) of Unsyiah also explained some advantages, facilities, and number of study programs available in Unsyiah through video of Unsyiah profile.
