Unsyiah 2018 Rector Cup Tennis Tournament ends on Monday (10/8). This activity, which has been going on since October 4-7, 2018 at the Unsyiah Tennis Court, competes for two categories of matches, namely men's singles and men's doubles.
For the men's singles, the first place winner was Habibie Yasin from PTPN IV Medan. Habibie managed to defeat Tio Lana Putra from Bank Aceh in the final round. Tio also had to settle for second place. While in the third position was taken by Fredy Wiliamson from Bank Aceh and Moriza Gusthary from PTPN IV Medan.
While for the men's doubles category, Fredy Wiliamson / Tio Lana Putra from the Aceh Bank won 1st place. Then followed by Rudy Dermawan / Mawar Oknanda as runner-up and Iqbal Zakaria / Herianto and Budi Juliansyah / Hafiz Muhammad in third.
This activity is a series of commemoration of the 57th anniversary of Unsyiah. Vice Rector I Unsyiah, Prof. Dr. Ir. Marwan, hopes that this tournament can be continued routinely every year, so that it can give birth to a superior generation of tennis players.
Chief Executive, Dr. Rer. Nat Ilham Maulana, said the tournament was competing for a total prize of Rp. 30 million. The tournament was attended by 49 male singles athletes and 19 men's double pairs. Participants who attended came from all city districts in Aceh, as well as from Medan and Jakarta.
