Executive Director of Project Implementation Unit (PIU) 7in1 Unsyiah, Dr. Tarmizi, M.Sc., together with PT Buana Prima Raya President Director Bambang Suwito signed a laboratory and electronic equipment procurement contract on Friday (6/29) at Senate Unsyiah Hall, Darussalam, Banda Aceh. The signing was also witnessed, Vice Rector II Unsyiah, Dr. Ir. Agussabti, M.Si., and Project Manager of 7in1 Center, Prof. Dr. Ir. Slamet Raharjo, M.Sc.
The contract worth Rp 64 billion will be allocated to the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries (FKP), and the Faculty of Veterinary (FKH). As is known, currently Unsyiah is building a new building in three faculties that are part of the 7 in 1 project. The construction of three new buildings is funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and Saudi Fund Development (SFD).
"We hope the construction of these three faculties through PIU 7in1 Unsyiah is quickly completed. So that the laboratory equipment can be functioned for research, "said Agussabti in his speech.
He also added, currently Unsyiah continues to commit to increase the number of research. This is part of the strengthening of the quality and quantity of tridarma principles. Therefore, with the construction of three faculties and the procurement of laboratory equipment, it is expected to provide benefits for the development of Aceh and the world of education.
Meanwhile, Prof. Slamet mentioned that the construction of three faculties in Unsyiah became an example for the other six campuses incorporated in PIU 7in1. He hopes this development can continue to be driven, so that it is completed on time.
"We are targeting to continuously improve the education quality in Aceh. Related to budget transparency, we also involve state financial supervisory institutions, "he said.
This activity was attended by representatives of Kemristekdikti, the High Prosecutor's Office, BPKP, vice deans, bureau chiefs, and other officials in the Unsyiah neighborhood. (mr)
