Unsyiah Launches Android-Based KRS App

Rector of Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah), Prof. Dr. Ir. Samsul Rizal, M.Eng, launched an online study plan card application (KRS) based on android in Unsyiah Rector Building, Wednesday (1/3). This application was designed by Technical Implementation Unit of Information and Communication Technology (UPT TIK) Unsyiah. This is the third android application issued Unsyiah. Before that, Unsyiah has launched android application UILIS Mobile Library and Lecturer Guardian Unsyiah.

Prof Samsul said this application is presented to facilitate Unsyiah students in charging and seeing KRS wherever they are. This application also presents features that can connect between students and guardian lecturers. So that the communication has been done face to face can be done online through android. All these advantages, explained the Rector, are meant to bring comfort and smoothness of the study of students in Unsyiah.

"We want what happens to students related to his studies can also be known by his guardian lecturer," he said.

Prof. Samsul targeting Unsyiah in the future will continue to bring android-based applications considering the high number of android mobile phone users. In fact, this campus will design android applications that facilitate employees and lecturers in manage the promotion.
