UPT Entrepreneurship Unsyiah in collaboration with HIPMI (Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association) Banda Aceh held a National Entrepreneurship Seminar with the theme "Entrepreneurship to Build the Country" at the Auditorium of FKIP Unsyiah, Wednesday (10/3).
Vice rector for Student and Alumni Affairs, DR. Ir. Alfiansyah Yuliannur, BC., Said that currently the demand to become an entrepreneur is a must. Especially at this time the competition in the working world is getting stronger. According to him if college graduates do not prepare themselves well, it will be difficult to compete.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the BPP HIPMI, Bahlil Lahadalia, said that if the key to being an entrepreneur is to realize your potential and see opportunities around you. This is important so that every business activist can produce good products.
"By becoming entrepreneurs, we can take a big role in sustaining the Indonesian economy. This is seen during the economic crisis where SME entrepreneurs are able to survive, "he said.
Bahlil also added that being an entrepreneur could help the government provide employment and foster economic independence. For this reason, he hopes that universities can take a role to create entrepreneurial students by providing training and helping capital.
"UPT Entrepreneurship must take more roles to provide entrepreneurship training and help access capital, so that students will become young entrepreneurs," he concluded.
