A total of 9,269 participants have registered for the 2020 Computer Based Test (UTBK) Joint Selection for State Universities Entrance (SBMPTN) at Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah). These participants will then take the exam on schedule by implementing the Covid-19 health protocol strictly. This was confirmed by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs who is also the Chairperson of the UTBK Unsyiah Center, Prof. Dr. Ir. Marwan, Tuesday (6/30/2020) in Banda Aceh.

"This step is a form of anticipation to reduce the risk of the spread of Covid-19 and protect the safety of participants and organizers," said Prof. Marwan

This health protocol must be carried out by the participant before the test day arrives. Participants are required to take care of their health, see the test location through the PTN website without coming to the test location, and are encouraged to be isolated for 14 days. This is done so that participants are in a healthy condition so they are allowed to take part in the UTBK.

This year, Unsyiah held 13 UTBK examinations that will take place from 5-11 July 2020. The test locations are spread over 11 locations using 38 computer laboratories. The eleven locations are ICT Center Building, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Labschool Unsyiah High School, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and Master of Management Building.

"On the day of the exam, participants are required to have been in a clean condition, bathing and washing hair. Participants are not allowed to stop by other places, other than the UTBK location, "continued Prof. Marwan

Participants must be present at least 30 minutes before the test begins, because they will follow the stages of the Covid-19 health protocol, such as checking body temperature and washing hands before entering the examination room. Participants are also encouraged to use masks and gloves during the test. This health protocol is not only intended for participants, introductors are also not allowed to wait for participants on campus. They are only allowed to drop participants in the drop zone that the committee has prepared.

In addition, related to changes in the UTBK exam schedule, Prof. Marwan asked to immediately reprint the participant's identification card via htpp: //portal.ltmpt.ac.id on the UTBK-SBMPTN Registration menu. The deadline for reprinting this card ends on July 2, 2020 at 12.00 WIB. This change in schedule was due to the frequency of the exams, which were originally four sessions into two sessions per day.

This change according to Prof. Marwan, is also part of implementing health protocols and reducing mass buildup in large numbers. The time of the UTBK was shifted. The first session was held at 09.00-11.15 WIB and the second session was held at 14.00-16.15 WIB. Between the exam sessions were given 2 hours 45 minutes of time to implement the health protocol. This includes computer sterilization and disinfectant spraying in the examination room before entering the next session.

For participants who cannot take the test according to the schedule because they do not meet the requirements of the Regional Covid-19 Task Force, it is expected to contact the PTN UTBK Center where the test is late July 2nd 2020 at 16.00 WIB.

Prof. Marwan hopes that the prepared health protocol can be obeyed by participants for mutual safety. Especially this year, thousands of UTBK applicants in Unsyiah have come from many regions.

"We urge participants to comply with established health protocols. This is for the sake of mutual safety so that we avoid Covid-19 transmission, "he concluded. (Unsyiah PR / fer)
