Unsyiah Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Samsul Rizal, M.Eng said, because of this decision, Unsyiah graduates for this period were immediately granted a diploma. The plan, the diploma will be given in May 2020.
"Later, this diploma is given directly to graduates by taking it in the Academic Sub-Section of the Faculty / Postgraduate respectively. The process of taking diplomas must follow the Covid-19 deployment prevention protocol, "said rector.
Rector revealed, Unsyiah must adopt a policy to eliminate the graduations, because the condition of the Covid-19 outbreak had not yet subsided. For this reason, graduation activities are not possible because these activities gather a lot of people.

Thus, they can use the diploma to find work or other things. Without having to wait for the graduation procession whose implementation has yet to be ascertained.
"If the graduation is postponed, then automatically the diploma cannot be given. So we decided to cancel the graduation this time, so that Unsyiah graduates could immediately have their diplomas, "he said.
But rector also revealed, if conditions were conducive so that the graduation period of May - July could be held in August. Then the graduate of the February - April 2020 period, may register themselves to attend the graduation in August.
As is known, Unsyiah through the Rector's Circular Letter has extended the prevention period of the spread of Covid-19 in the campus environment, which was previously until March 30, 2020 extended until the end of the even semester 2019/2020.
