Representatives of medical personnel in a number of regions have received medical device assistance (ALKES) from the Indonesian National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas). The aid distributed consisted of personal protective equipment (PPE), gloves, and masks.
Lemhannas Governor Letjen (Ret.) Agus Widjojo told the doctor's representative at Lemhannas RI, said the assistance was given as appreciation and support for medical personnel in overcoming Covid-19 in Indonesia.
"I express my deepest gratitude and highest appreciation to my fellow medical personnel and in accordance with President Joko Widodo's direction in a limited meeting to contribute to providing optimal protection for doctors, nurses and other medical personnel in handling the Covid-19 pandemic," said Agus in Jakarta in a broadcast on Wednesday (4/13).
Some areas that have received medical assistance, including the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Sorong, Papua; Radjak Hospital Purwakarta, West Java; RSUD Dr. Moewardi Solo, Central Java; Kalabahi Alor Hospital, NTT; Sanglah Hospital Denpasar, Bali; Tanjung Pura Langkat General Hospital, North Sumatra; Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital and Brawijaya University, Malang, East Java; Syiah University (Unsyiah) Kuala Banda Aceh, Aceh; and Naili DBS Hospital and several health centers in West Sumatra.
Agus explained that the provision of medical aid was a form of concern for medical personnel who died in handling Covid-19.
"Seeing this concern is the reason for Lemhannas RI to contribute in providing health aids consisting of PPE, gloves and masks to several hospitals and health centers," Agus said.
Previously, Lemhannas RI also distributed medical aid to a number of hospitals and health centers in Jakarta.
