The Faculty of Nursing, Syiah Kuala University again held the Aceh International Nursing Conference (AINC) for the second time from August 21-23, 2019. This time, the AINC raised the theme "Overcoming Global Health Challenges Through Nursing Education, Research and Technology", and was opened by Vice Rector IV Unsyiah Dr. Hizir at the Grand Permata Hati Hotel. (Banda Aceh, 8/21).
Dr. Hizir in his remarks said that he believed the second international conference could be as successful as last year. Because this is in line with Unsyiah's ideal of becoming a center for research and education for nursing in Indonesia.
"This conference is also part of Unsyiah's contribution in improving higher quality nursing and health sciences," he said.
For this reason, Unsyiah is proud to be part of a conference involving nursing experts in various parts of the world. In recent years, Unsyiah has provided ongoing training for nursing education
"AINC is our effort to facilitate institutions, faculties, researchers and policy makers, as well as to bridge the gap between science and practice," he said.
Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Unsyiah Dr. Hajjul Kamil, S.Kp., M.Kep, revealed that the AINC this time was very important for both researchers and policy makers in the health sector. For this reason, he hopes that this conference can strengthen the friendship to all parties involved in the world of nursing, so that they can spread nursing knowledge.
"This is our chance to bring together academics and practitioners in health services. I hope the collaboration between the two can improve the professionalism of nursing in Indonesia, "he said.
The Organizing Committee Dr. Marthoenis Moersalin explained, the Conference involved 120 participants, with 62 papers to be presented.
"All of the papers are targeted to be published in Taylor and Francis international journals based in London," he said.
As for who became the Keynote Speech at this conference was the Head of the Nursing Study Center at Padjajaran University Prof. Suryani, S.Kp., MH.Sc., Ph.D. Exacutive Director of the Australian College of Emergency Nursing, Liz Cloughessy and Associate Professor at KPJ Healthcare University College, Dr. Hajjah Aini.
This time AINC will discuss issues that are very important and in accordance with today's society needed. Among these are child and maternity care, emergency care, adult care, public health, nursing management, geriatric care, family and community, psychiatric care and mental health.
