The Rector also reminded them that even though the positions of Vice Deans are slightly different from lecturers, they still need to carry out their main functions to give good services to USK students.
The Rector then pointed out that this university would not be able to stand alone without the students. Therefore, USK would need to improve their student services to ensure they would turn into great graduates and work in their fields.
“By gaining their trusts, all the stakeholders and community would also trust this university. Thus, our students may later get a good job and be trusted by the community.”, the Rector said.
The Rector also pointed out that the Vice Deans should also seek to improve the education standards. He mentioned that the learning process should be in line with the Industry Revolution 4.0 and the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, USK should make adjustments to the curriculum.
These three faculties would need to do their respective roles in strengthening Aceh’s education and living standards. The Faculty of Economic and Business should be the tip for Aceh’s development and stimulate business development in Aceh.
At the same time, FKIP also has important roles to strengthen the education standards in Aceh which is still behind Maluku and Papua. This is very concerning given the large amount of fund allocated in Aceh’s Regional Budget.
Meanwhile, there is also some concerns regarding the state of law of this nation. It is such an important matter for the nation’s stability and development process. Therefore, the Law Faculty should support their students’ education to promote integrity in their graduates.
“We need to teach our students well because in the future they will be judges, lawyers and leaders in other aspects. This country will be a good nation when our law is enforced, the teachers and lecturers lead our education, and we have stable and strong economy.”, the Rector said.
This event was also attended by the Vice Rectors, Head of Institutions, Head of the Bureau, and some Deans of USK.
