A total of 1,883 students graduated in the National Selection For State University Entrance (SNMPTN) at Syiah Kuala University. The student is required to follow several important stages in the form of verification of academic data. But different from the previous, this year prospective students on the SNMPTN path are not allowed to come to campus to verify the data. This follows the Unsyiah Rector Circular on the protocol for implementing academic, non-academic activities, education personnel, task forces and crisis centers in preventing the spread of covid-19.

Unsyiah Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Samsul Rizal, M.Eng.IPU said that this step was taken to suppress the spread of covid-19 in Aceh. Because according to him, if the data verification was carried out like in previous years, there would be a large mass accumulation. This service is not only intended for prospective students outside the region, prospective students who live in the surrounding Banda Aceh are also required to follow a similar procedure.

"Unsyiah as much as possible minimizes face-to-face meetings to suppress the spread of co-19. This step is also to support the implementation of physical distancing. Moreover, Unsyiah prospective students come from many cities in Indonesia, "said Prof. Samsul, Saturday (04/11/2020).

In exchange, the data verification of prospective new students is carried out in several stages. For submission of original report cards, original performance certification, and photocopy of SNMPTN 2020 Participant Card, prospective students can send it via registered delivery services, such as PT Pos Indonesia, TIKI, JNE, J&T, and others.

Prospective students are also asked to fill out biodata and send a photocopy of KKM certificate for those KKM scores not written in the report card. The biodata form can be downloaded at the website www.unsyiah.ac.id.

"When sending the file, we remind prospective students not to forget to include their biodata and KKM certificate if it is not written on the report card," said Samsul.
