Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah) immediately has its own packaging drink called UQua or Unsyiah Qua. This was confirmed by the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Unsyiah and PT Aini Sejahtera, a business entity engaged in Bottled Drinking Water Treatment (AMDK).
The signing was carried out by the Chancellor of Unsyiah, Prof. Dr. Ir. Samsul Rizal, M.Eng. and Commissioner of PT ini Aini Sejahtera, Ilyas Abdurahman, S.E at the Unsyiah Rectorate Building, Friday afternoon (4/26).
This cooperation includes activities in the supply, distribution of Uqua drinking water, educational programs, training and student internships, and joint research on the use of water resources.
Unsyiah's Chancellor said the presence of UQua was one manifestation of Unsyiah's business development after it was declared a Public Service Agency (PT BLU). Later UQua not only circulated in the Unsyiah area, but also throughout Aceh. He also hopes that PT Aini Sejahtera can run quality control well, so that the quality of UQua can compete with well-known bottled mineral water.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding was then closed with the handover of souvenirs from both parties. In addition, the Chancellor also presented a prize to Hanif Syah Reza Funna, a student at the Faculty of Economics and Business Unsyiah, who won first prize in the UnsyiahQua (UQua) packaging and bottled water design competition.
