The change from Work Unit (Satker) to a Public Service Agency (PTNBLU) in Unsyiah is the way to became PTNBH. Since May 2018 in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Finance, Unsyiah has changed its status to PTNBLU officially.
"Unsyiah Chancellor aspires that in the next 3-4 years Unsyiah will change status from BLU to PTNBH. This is also an effort by Unsyiah to develop this institution, "said Marwan.
Yonny said, it took a long time to change the university status from PTNBLU to PTNBH. Need support from all elements so that the campus becomes more independent. The legal basis for the management of PTNBH will be given as a legal umbrella for changing status.
In addition, PTNBH is important because it can empower universities, such as expanding and guaranteeing access, developing tridarma as a whole, equality, strengthening vocational education, integrity of education levels, autonomy, quality assurance systems, and avoiding the liberalization and commercialization of universities.
"The principle of managing the university is through a non-profit, accountable, transparent, quality, effective and efficient," he said.
Yonny added that the best practices of PTNBH can be done through academic fields, student affairs, quality assurance, dissemination of research, finance and cooperation. Meanwhile, the pattern of PTNBH financial management refers to the Higher Education Law. Then it is regulated in a statute of Government Regulation based on proposals from PTNBH.
"It is better, do not look at the addition of university finance that is not too significant. But, there is freedom of academic autonomy, "he concluded. (Public Relations Unsyiah / mr)
