Rector of Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah), Prof. Dr. Ir. Samsul Rizal, M.Eng.IPU, inaugurated six new officials in the campus environment, Tuesday (9/6/2020) at the AAC Dayan Dawood Building, Darussalam. They were appointed deputy deans in two faculties, Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
The vice dean inaugurated for the Faculty of Medicine was Dr. dr. Safrizal Rahman, M. Kes., Sp.OT (Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs), Dr. dr. Dedy Syahrizal, M. Kes (Deputy Dean for General and Finance), and dr. Subhan Rio Pamungkas, SpKJ (K) (Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni).
While for the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, those who were appointed were Prof. Dr. drh. Muslim Akmal, M.P (Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs), Dr. drh. M Nur Salim, M.Si (Deputy Dean for General and Finance), and Dr. drh. Razali, M.Sc. (Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs).
In his remarks, rectorv said that a change of position was routine in every institution. Whether or not a job is done well there will be a time when the position must be replaced. In addition to routine, this change is also a refreshing as well as new encouragement so that it can work better. For this reason, rector hopes that the vice deans will work optimally and bring change to the faculty and Unsyiah as a whole.
Specifically, rector hopes that the new officials at FK and FKH can work together. Especially at this time of the world situation, especially in the health sector, faced with the Covid-19 outbreak. This pandemic has changed many things, including changing the teaching system at Unsyiah which must be done online. This situation has changed habits and civilizations. But this change did not make Unsyiah complacent and succumbed.
"Unsyiah must be able to produce innovation, both vaccines, medical devices, and research. This requires collaboration of all study programs at Unsyiah. Without collaboration, a great innovation is not born, "concluded rector.
Rector also hopes that the new vice deans will also be able to work optimally to build faculties and make the study programs in their faculties achieve superior accreditation.
The inauguration was also attended by the vice chancellors, deans, vice deans who took place by implementing health protocols and physical distancing in an effort to suppress the spread of Covid-19.
