Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) hosted The First Workshop for 2nd IMT-GT University Network Strategic Action Plan (UNINET USAP) 2022-2026, on Friday (30/07). This workshop was held through Zoom Meeting and was attended by UNINET members from three countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The opening remarks for this event was represented by the Vice Rector for Planning and Public Relations Division, Prof. Hizir.
Prof. Hizir expressed his appreciation to the achievements that IMT-GT UNINET has made in recent years.
“Although in the last two years we are in the middle of this Covid-19 pandemic, but we are still active and even succeed in running some programs as we planned.”, Prof. Hizir said.
In this meeting, we will discuss the new programs and planning which UNINET will run for the next five years. Prof. Hizir also hopes that the collaboration from all UNINET members would continue to carry out the programs planned together.
In addition, Dr. Muzailin Affan, Chairman of the Office of International Affairs in USK read a report about the progress of the programs that UNINET has implemented since 2017. Muzailin also mentioned some issues that would be discussed in the program planning sessions.
The last agenda of this workshop is to hold a group discussion. All participants were divided into four working groups where each group would discuss strategies and actions from the four issues proposed. The four issues include sustainable economy transformation, inclusive social transformation, innovative research application, and solutions for sustainable society.
At the end of the meeting, each group shared their strategies and actions for each issue to be formulated into IMT-GT UNINET main programs for 2022-2026.
