Two students from Universitas Syiah Kuala had just been accepted for a fully funded student exchange for the “Youth Summit on Leadership and Entrepreneur” international program.
It was Zamna Fauzan (Geophysics Program, USK 2019 student) and Fauzur Rahmat (Technology of Agricultural Product Program, USK 2019 student) who participated in this program. This grant was given by Lionezta Education sponsored by @lion.travel.id.
The main qualities that these awardees should have are leadership and entrepreneur skills. Both students needed to demonstrate their qualities through their business ideas. Fauzur Rahmat is the CEO of @tulbar.id and Zamna Fauzan is the president of TONE.ID @tone.ars. They both showed great responses when answering questions from the interviewers.
“I was a bit unsure when I signed up for this.”, Zamna said.
However, with the spirit within him and support from his friends, he wanted to try and decided to go for it. He was also motivated when knowing that a USK alumni had also been in the YSLE program.
“Learning about becoming an entrepreneur is so exciting. And the more I learn about it, the more I understand that starting something based on your own idea is a lot better. Just like how we aim to be financially independent in the future, it all needs a process.”, as Fauzur said.
As for this moment, both students are entitled to receive 100% scholarship from the sponsor. For this reason, they would need to undergo training for project planning as a part of the requirements for the fully funded awardees. The program would take place before their departure from 6-9 December 2021.
“We hope the situation [of the pandemic] would be conducive enough for us to do this. So we think that getting vaccinated right now is an important step to have positive impacts in the long run.”, he said.
